Service Projects

QQ Group Quilt

QQ makes a group quilt every year to raffle.  A portion of the proceeds from the quilt are donated to a charity selected by the membership.

Choices for Victims of Domestic Violence

Quintessential Quilters regularly supports our local women’s shelter, Choices, in various ways including making quilts for Choices clients and collecting household items at  meetings (cleaning items, paper towels, toilet paper, powdered laundry detergent, diapers, etc.)  LSSNetworkOfHope.org/choices

LifeCare Alliance/Meals on Wheels

QQ members make and donate placemats to LifeCare Alliance for their Meals on Wheels program. Meals on Wheels provides meals for older adults and medically challenged residents of Franklin and several other counties, helping residents remain independent in the comfort of their own homes. “Nourishing the Human Spirit” is their motto. Learn more about their programs and services at www.lifecarealliance.org.  The placemats are usually collected at the March meeting.  Guidelines are included in our newsletter.  We home it lets the recipients know someone is thinking about them.

We delivered 518 placemats to LifeCare Alliance for 2020-2022.
